I'm a Hub Mom!

Our local newspaper, the Hattiesburg American, has selected four Pine Belt moms to serve as moderators and representatives for their new website, www.hubmoms.com. This new website will be a place at which moms and moms-to-be from any- and everywhere can meet to laugh, cry, vent, learn, share, ask questions and celebrate together.

I have been selected to moderate two forums and to share my thoughts on the subjects of education, discipline, home schooling, adoption, foster parenting, and other related topics.

Although the site is hosted by the Hattiesburg newspaper, anyone interested in sharing information with other moms is welcome and encouraged to join. One of the features of this site that will be implemented soon are weekly chats about topics that are of particular interest to women.

The Hattiesburg American's site is a part of the www.momslikeme.com network. This site provides visitors with the opportunity to visit Moms sites around the United States. This is particularly valuable to parents who travel often and would like tips on kid-friendly activities in other parts of the country.

The Hattiesburg American will be printing an extensive article about the new site on October 4. I will be creating several different discussion groups relating to the subjects I will be responsible for moderating. I hope all of my blogfriends will take the time to join this site and contribute!
